New Pomeranian puppy, games and ways to train her!!!!?

Hi! 5 days ago I got a new pomeranian puppy! She is 12 weeks old and very active. I have never really had a dog but I already love her and really want this to work out.
On her first days at home I started playing games like tug of war with her but noticed they kinda make her bite. Is there any games I can play with her that won't teach her to bite me or things around the house and can be bonding at the same time?
Also, what are the best ways to train her? I've noticed she doesn't exactly have the longest attention spam and can get a bit annoyed. What should I do?!

Congratulations on your new Pom.

Keep in mind that this is a high energy breed, as I type this my 5 month old Pom puppy is trying to help me out.

I encourage tug games with my Pom especially since he has a future as a performance dog, and the use of a tug is really important when training for sports like agility.

When I first got my puppy, he would get too wound up when we played, and get a little out of control, when he did that I would stop and take a break.

They do have short attention spans at this age, no matter what the breed.

I play with my puppy for hours a day with toys, and he has another Pom to play with as well, and a large yard that he runs in -COMPLETELY SUPERVISED of course.

Get a lot of toys and learn what she likes as she goes.

As for housetraining...it is a project with a Toy breed, you are going to have to be on your toes, take your puppy out whenever it wakes up from a nap, after it plays hard, and of course use crate.

If you take your dog out and it does not go to the bathroom then you need to return it to its crate, and try again 20-30 minutes later.

My puppy came to me just a month ago, with a bladder infection, so housetraining has been chellenging to say the least.

DO NOT resort to pee pads or anything that would encourage this puppy to use your home as a toilet.

I presume you have a home with a yard, and that you will NOT be taking this puppy out in common areas until she is all done with her vaccines.

Remember treat your Pomeranian like the real dog it was bred down from.
This really is a big dog in a small body. They were originally a 35 pound workiing/sled dog, and need a lot of activity to keep them happy.

Anyone who has a "yappy" Pomeranian is not providing the dog with enough activity and mental stimulation.
